I was extremely lucky to be involved in this stunning nature doc, for which I wrote the script and and directed the edit. The project involved attaching satellite trackers to ten female Loggerhead turtles, so that scientists at the Gnaraloo Turtle Conservation Program could trace their migrations for the first time.
The film has been selected for the 15th Anniversary International Ocean Film Festival and the 2018 International Wildlife Film Festival, and just nabbed the Science & Technology Award at the 2018 Fremantle Underwater Film Festival. Having finished the shooting script for a stop-motion animated short film about a Russian cosmonaut, it’s been really exiting to see things physically take shape! The film is being produced by Cristian Barnett at Fabulous Frank, who has just finished directing the voice-over using era-accurate analogue tape recording technology in Moscow… As a vintage space geek I genuinely cannot wait to post more updates on this one!
